It's said that those destined to become the Avatars of Kyogre and Groudon will stumble across their stone husks and the sleeping souls of the great guardian beasts will merge with theirs. Such a thing happened to a young Flara who had a knack of climbing up Mt Chimney when she wasn't supposed to. Falling into a cave, Flara stumbled across the stone husk of Groudon resting in a pool of lava. Approaching the edge of the pool, Flara felt a surge of red-hot energy course through her as a deep gravelly voice echoed in her head.

"Child of the Land...we are one now. Together we shall guard the land from those who invade. But take heed...a prophecy lingers. The Guardian of Sea shall one day choose a vessel of her own and will seek to flood the world. The Guardian of Sky will quell her rage...but you must defend your realm until he too awakes. Seek out the Red Orb, and my power shall be yours. Remember, the mountain bows to none. Stand strong, Avatar."

Since then, Flara knew she was blessed in some way by Groudon and hoped to seek out the Red Orb when the time is right to take on Kyogre's chosen when she awakened. Unfortunately, that chosen is none other than Azura. But unlike Flara who had Groudon merge into her soul, Kyogre's soul had possessed Azura and was pretending to be her for months. Conflicted between protecting Hoenn and not wanting to hurt the person she see's as a sister, Flara has found herself in a sticky situation to say the least...

It happened so fast... She had a lead. She and Archie were investigation the Seafloor Cavern after Azura had deduced the possible location of Kyogre's resting place. But she got close to the husk...too close. Everything went icy cold as she lost control of her body as a chilling voice chuckled ominously.

"Finally...freedom... Thank you, Child of the Sea. Because of you, I will finally have my vengeance against that pathetic excuse of a guardian, and the kingdom of water will rise. And she was right... Not even Archie could tell it wasn't really her. Her body had become a marionette for Kyogre's soul with Azura forced to be the audience for this gross puppet show, only able to watch as Kyogre took her place. Please...Archie...Flara...somebody...help...

Caught in the clash between Flara and the possessed Azura in the Cave of Origin, it looked like Zephyr was about to witness the prophecy fail first hand as Kyogre was starting to overpower Flara. That was until their scuffle shook loose a strange green stone. A strange breeze seemed to blow against her face as a calming voice spoke.

"Do not panic. I am with you, Child of the Sky. Neither soul will fall here. While it is not my full power, I will merge my soul with yours. I will give you the strength to aid the Child of Land, and save the Child of Sea. Let us end this centuries-long war. The winds of change are blowing. Fight bravely, Avatar."

In a flash of emerald light, where Zephyr once stood now floated the draconic form of Rayquaza. Looks like the prophecy is back on~

If Team Aqua is the storm, Azura Tyde is the calm before. Don't let her friendly and polite nature fool you. As head admin of Team Aqua, Azura doesn't pull her punches when it comes to defending her teammates. And when not doing that, she's either relaxing at the nearest body of water, playing her guitar, or both. Despite coming off as cold and strict to those who oppose Team Aqua, those within the team know her to be a softie who treats all members respectfully and gets easily embarrassed. Friends with Archie - plus Flara and Maxie of Team Magma - since college, Azura is the cliche of the introvert getting adopted by an extrovert, except it's two extroverts and an introvert. Not that she minds that of course. Heck, she even started a band duo with one of them, leading to the creation of 'Ebb & Flow'. Sadly the duo separated when they decided to join their respective teams. Before moving to Hoenn for college, she lived in Paldea near her cousin Nemona. While she hasn't been back to visit her in a while, she often keeps in touch with her via texts and letters.

Despite her quiet and timid nature, Azura is a reliable ally to have in a fight, and a fearsome force to fight against. Most of Team Aqua can testify that she's like the ocean in the sense she can go from calm waves to a raging storm the moment a person threatens something or someone she cares about. Though in recent months, some grunts have noticed her acting...off. Could it have something to do with what she and Archie found in the Seafloor Cavern...?
